Shannon and Tim were married on the 21st of September, 2012. This couple is very special to me as they are actually very good friends of mine. Shannon and Tim share something very special with my husband and I, we are both couple straight from the DIS boards. This simple connection has been something that has brought us together and I am so happy to share their story.
Shannon and Tim are a full fledged Disney couple as Disney has been a very strong common thread for them. Disney for them is not just a place and not just films it is a culture, a passion and a theme for how they choose to live their lives. They are so excited to share their love for Disney with their families in the future and their wedding at Disney World was the first step. The couple was married at the Swan Resort Beach location. Shannon was very worried that it would rain in September on their wedding day but Mickey had them protected and she was able to get her dream beach wedding.
The couple infused the things they love about Disney into their wedding everywhere they could. Her bouquet had a grape soda cap pin that was given to her by Tim attached to it. Their cake toppers were the Bride and Groom vinylmations. Their guest book was a large vinylmation and they also gave their guests vinylmation shaped soaps. The couple incorporated a handpainted mickey and minie thank you sign as a prop in their pictures. All of these small touches made their wedding uniquely them.
There was another subtle touch to their wedding pictures that I found to be absolutely goregous. This was the use of her cute clear and pink umbrella.
While we don't have pictures from the night they got engaged it is important to acknowledge that they were engaged on Disney property at the Polynesian resort. The importance of this is symbolized in their wedding photos becuase the locations they chose were very specific. They of course have pictures at the Swan as this is where they got married but they also ventured to the Boardwalk because of how quaint it is. The last place they chose was the Polynesian. This was picked specifically because this where Tim proposed. When Tim proposed he asked Shannon what her favorite moment of their trip had been and she of course rambled on about fireworks, rides and the halloween party. When he was asked the question in return he simply said "this very moment" and it was then that he got down on one knee and asked her to travel with him in life as his partner.
With all of this said Shannon and Tim had a beautiful Swan wedding and I am quite jealous of the following photo as I love the Swan paddle boats.
This message goes specifically to Shannon and Tim: I wish you two the most happiness that you could ever ask for and I truly believe that pictures say more than words. If this is true then I am so glad that you two found each other. The happiness that I can see in your eyes is something truly precious. Cherish your love always and forever. I congratulate you on a wonderful wedding day but more importantly finding your soul mate. May all your dreams come true and I hope you enjoy the following preview of your wonderful day. I love you both.
